If you are interested in teaching your baby to read or exposing them to language, don't look past the Signing Time series of videos that teach babies sign language.  These videos are delightful, filled with great songs and cute children.  Not only will your baby enjoy watching these videos and learn some sign language, but if you get series one volumes one through six, or something like that, your baby will also be learning to read.  The format for the first videos they made show the word isolated before they introduce the sign.  This is the exact format babies need to see language in so that they learn to read.
