The Moon's Not Broken Anymore
I have been teaching my daughter to recognize the shape crescent. Lately we have seen a lot of crescent moons in books and in the sky. I always point it out and say, "Look, a crescent moon!"

Well kids say the darndest things. The other day we were driving down the road and I was showing her the moon. I said, "Look, Gaby, the moon!"
She said, "The moon's not broken anymore."
I said, "What?"
She repeated herself, "The moon's not broken anymore."
I couldn't resist and asked her, "What kind of moon is it?"
And of course her reply was, "It's a fixed moon!"
And to a 2 year old that makes perfect sense.
