Why Don't Parents Want to Teach Their Babies to Read?
Some people are so closed minded to teaching babies to read. I just don't get it. When I learned this stuff I completely
embraced it because I already had children and saw what they were capable of learning. This was just a natural next step to take. How can people be so closed minded to teaching kids and giving them a strong start in life?
My 2 year old, back 10 years ago, could recite Psalm 1, Psalm 23 and the Lord's Prayer. I didn't force her to learn these. I just read them to the children before bed. Within 2 nights they were filling in the end of each verse. After a week they knew most of the Psalms. My family would be amazed that hey could remember these. This was a glimpse into what they could really learn. Unfortunately I didn't learn about Glenn Doman until years later.
Why people close their minds to teaching babies anything is beyond me. Especially when there are videos that make it beyond simple for parents to do this for their children.
