I am a lover of Sesame Street.  I never watch it anymore, but when I was a kid I loved the show.  As a young mom I got to watch it with my young ones.  My oldest is 13 years old and my youngest is 2 years old.  I decided I wanted to share my favorite Sesame Street video with my youngest, since she has not been exposed to them.  We watched it together on a VHS tape yesterday.  The quality was horrible and it was hard to appreciate my favorite parts.  Getting Ready to Read is by far my favorite Sesame Street Video.  It is full of letter sounds, sounding out words and crazy rhymes and games. There is a scene with Ernie and Bert playing a rhyming game that I especially love. There is a scene with some monsters rhyming and a crazy red haired monster that takes rhyming to a new extreme.
