Fun Way to Teach Your Baby to Read With Flash Cards
You can teach your baby to read in minutes a day using flash cards, but it doesn't have to be dull or boring. When teaching your baby to read your attitude should be joyous and excited and this will be contagious to your baby. If you enjoy teaching your baby to read new words with flash cards, your baby will most certainly enjoy it as well. There are many different things you can do to keep your learning time fun. Here is one way I kept it exciting for my baby.

I would have a small stack of flash cards with just the words on them. One of the cards had the word help on it. Every time I showed this to my baby I would sing the song, "Help" by the Beatles. As we would go through the stack I would ask him if he could find the word help before I could. He would intently stare at the cards and then yell help as soon as we came across that word. He loved to play this game. It was exciting and fun for both of us.
You can do this with many words. You can choose different songs and sing them each time you show your baby the card. After you have done this a few times ask your baby to see if they can find the card first. Of course, this is more appropriate for babies that can speak a bit, however you can vary the game by asking preverbal babies to touch the card with the chosen word.
As you can see, you can get creative and make learning to read an extension of your play time and it is just as fun.
