Borders Book Bargain - That Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown
I have already done a review on this book. That Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown is one of my 3 years olds favorite books. I love it too. Emily Brown and her best friend Stanley, who is really a stuffed rabbit, embark on all kinds of adventures. They are astronauts who go to outer space. They dive the barrier reef. They are always on an adventure when some messenger from the queen constantly interrupts them. She has her eyes on Stanley, whom she refers to as Bunny Wunny, and she really wants him. The peak point of the story is when the queen has him stolen for herself.

I really enjoy how the author brings you to that special place called imagination that we see through the eyes of a child. This book encourages children to be more imaginative in their own play and seek out their own adventures. Oh, I am getting so caught up in the story that I am forgetting to tell you the best part.
The other day I went to Borders to get my weekly fix of a white chocolate mocha. As I was walking out I got caught in the trap they laid for me by the exit door. You see, they have several bookshelves that you have to pass on the way out and the way in. They have caught me before, just steps away from the exit I see a book that I can't refuse.
Well, it happened again. I am literally pushing the exit door when I spot That Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown on the bargain rack, hardcover, for only $2.99. There was no escaping. I had to buy it. You see, we don't own the book, we just borrow it frequently from the library.
If you have a Borders Bookstore in your area you might want to see if they have it. It is a beautiful, hardcover book for only $2.99. I asked the clerk why it was on sale. She was not sure. She said the books came in that way with the sticker already on them. She said other Borders should have them as well. This one is too good not to share. I bought an extra copy for my nephew. Now I am just wondering if I should buy the whole stack to give away as birthday gifts. Hmmm.
