I was recently informed that the famous Duggar family of 19 Kids and Counting uses Monki See Monki Do to teach their babies to read.  I just located this episode on YouTube.  It shows the younger Duggar children watching the Monki See Baby's First Words DVD.  The kids seem to know it pretty well.  You will see one of the little ones saying the poem before it even plays.  The children begin to watch Monki See at around 3:05 on the You Tube clip.  Jim Bob mentions that his kids are learning to read at around 4:05 on the clip.  I thought that was pretty neat, to see the Duggars embracing early learning for their crew.
