Stay Motivated When Teaching Your Baby To Read With These 4 Tips

You can easily stay on track with your baby reading program with these 4 simple tips.

Use DVDs That Teach Babies To Read
All baby reading dvds are not created equally.  Make sure you find a brand that your baby loves.  Some are more straightforward teaching a word and then showing video.  The Monki See Baby Reading DVDs teach babies to read while also entertaining them.  View the sample clip to find out why Monki See are Babies' Favorite DVDs.

If you do nothing else but show your baby the reading dvds, your baby will learn to read hundreds of words.  This method requires the least amount of effort and frankly, I don't know why all parents aren't using them.

Be Consistent
Of course, consistency is the key to being successful in anything.  If you want your baby to learn to read, you must choose a time of day that your baby will watch the reading dvds and play them every day.

If you are using flash cards, select an area in your home to keep your materials so you can easily pull them out and show your baby a set several times a day.  For many people the changing area is the best place, since you frequent it throughout the day.  Keep a set of flash cards nearby and flash them to your baby after a diaper change.  Do this 2-3 times per day and your baby will learn hundreds of words, effortlessly.

Look For Opportunities to Teach Your Baby
Since words are all around us, you can teach your baby to read all the time.  As you prepare meals you can point out words on the packages.  When you are out and about you can point out words to your baby.  Once you become aware of how many words are all around us, you can have your baby take notice of them as well.

Read Together Every Day
If you want to teach your baby to read, you need to read to your baby.  Pointing out the text in the books you read is another excellent way to introduce new words and review the words baby has already learned.  Keep a good supply of books you enjoy on hand.  You will quickly find that favorite books will become your baby's best friends.

Visit the library and the bookstore regularly to keep your child excited about reading.
