Teach Your Baby Numbers With Books

I recently came across a wonderful series of books at my library that teach children numbers.  The series is called Know Your Numbers and they are wonderful books.  Within a few readings of the books my 4 year old daughter learned to count by 2's and 5's.  The illustrations are bright and bold, great for grabbing the attention of a child.  The story is cute and pretty engaging, but I am mostly excited about these books because I can see that they really teach the numbers and counting quickly and easily.

For learning to count by 2's we liked Eggs and Legs and Footprints in the Snow.

To learn to count by 5's we really enjoyed Lots of Ladybugs and Starry Arms.

There are a total of 12 books in this series.  They are:

  1. Downhill Fun - A Counting Book About Winter
  2. Eggs and Legs - Counting By Twos
  3. Footprints in the Snow - Counting By Twos
  4. From the Garden - A Counting Book About Growing Food
  5. Hands Down - Counting By Fives
  6. Lots of Ladybugs - Counting By Fives
